yahoo_financeOne of the most popular news websites, Yahoo Finance, on December 12, will start the distribution of its content from CNBS, a channel for business news.

According to the executives, the deal between the two parties will serve well for the video options of Yahoo as well as for the visibility of CNBC.com.

"We're bringing together the leader on television with the leader online for financial content," outlined Scott Moore, Yahoo's head of media.

It is interesting to note that the deal achieved with Yahoo is the first major partnership of CNBC with an online portal.

cnbcDespite the fact that CNBC is the leading business brand on television, the company's website faced tough competition to get its share on the market. It is worth mentioning that the site's traffic increased by three times since being strongly publicized last year. However, the average number of visitors in November was only 538,000 unique visitors. This data was provided by comScore, a company estimating the use of Internet. ComScore also showed that in November, 13.8 million people visited Yahoo Finance.

The two companies agreed that Yahoo Finance will features CNBC video and CNBC.com articles. Interesting to note that Yahoo already shares videos from such providers as: Fox Business Network, CNN, the BBC and The New York Times.

Each weekday CNBC.com posts from 100 to 150 videos on the site. Yahoo will include several dozens of those videos.

According to the agreement Yahoo will also be provided with content aimed towards its 21 international financial sites.

Yahoo was able to strengthen its position as the major financial news provider by making certain moves to beat its main competitors MSN Money and AOL Money & Finance. Yahoo added new content partners and in future hopes to launch an online program that would cover technology stocks.
