NASA Administrator Encourages Europe to Create Manned Spaceship

Representatives from NASA encouraged Europe to work on the development of its own manned spaceship. In such a way Europe will be able to provide the world, and mainly the United States, an additional way of get to the international space station.


The administrator of NASA stated that today Europe turned into "a full-fledged space power". The statement was made after the flight controllers at a European Space Agency center managed to conduct an unmanned cargo ship towards the ISS in April of 2008. It is worth mentioning that the unmanned cargo ship delivered food, water and clothes.

Vietnam is on Its Way to Launch Its No. 1 Satellite

SatelliteAccording to Associated Press, Vietnam is currently on its way to launch its first satellite. The country's officials stated that Vietnam's main goal is to improve its communications and thus be able to keep up with the speedy development of economy.

 

The first satellite built by Vietnam is entitled Vinasat No. 1. Officials said the launch is set to be on April 12. The location of the launch is a spaceport in South America, called Kourou. Nguyen Ba Thuoc, vice general director of Vietnam Post and Telecommunication Corp. (VNPT) - a company owned by the state - told reporters that Vinasat No. 1 will be ready for exploitation in May.
